Golf7
Golf7 is a pseudo 3D golf game I made for the PICO-8 fantasy game console. It started out as an inital experiment to recreate a pseudo 3D effect similar to the Mode 7 feature of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). It worked out pretty well and I even expanded the engine to include an animated sky and background.
For the golf logic itself, I implemented a simple 2D ball physics system that correctly applies friction to the ball, with sand pits and slopes putting the players skills to the test later on, together with an accurate reflection model to bounce the ball off the walls. The game features nine holes in total with an increasing difficulty that the player can tackle to beat with as few strokes as possible.
